ParaPRO LLC, based in Carmel, Indiana, is a start-up pharmaceutical company established in 2002 initially for the purpose of developing a promising new medicine for the treatment of head lice.
ParaPRO is a wholly owned subsidiary of SePRO Corporation, a management owned life-sciences business started by Bill Culpepper, a former employee of Eli Lilly and Dow AgroSciences. Started in 1994 with five employees, SePRO (www.sepro.com) has grown to 59 employees, 41 of whom are based in Indiana. SePRO develops, manufactures and markets high quality chemical products for use in specialty markets and is a leader in the areas in which it competes.
In November 2002, ParaPRO acquired the worldwide marketing rights to human health applications of the active ingredient Spinosad from Eli Lilly and Company. After a competitive process, ParaPRO was selected by Eli Lilly and Company as the best licensing partner for Spinosad for several reasons.

Natrova™ is the proposed name for the investigational product to treat human head lice. If the product is approved by the FDA, ParaPRO anticipates that NatrOVA would be the first new product to be approved in over 20 years for the treatment of human head lice. The product has completed phase 2 clinical trials. It is expected that phase 3 trials will begin in the fall of 2007.
